Difficulty with Trust
As you walk with God you will be faced with difficult situations and circumstances. It is within those times you have to put faith in God and trust Him. You can’t just have little bit of faith or trust Him once in a while when your life is going good. That is when it is the easiest. There is no such thing as trusting God without unanswered questions. There will always be situations and circumstances you just don’t understand. It is during those times when you must rely on your faith…and trust!
* Trust in Him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge. Psalm 62:8
Living by Godly Standards
As Christians, we need to encourage one another to live by godly standards and resist the pull of the world. If we want to enjoy the blessings He has for us, we need to make lifestyle choices that align with His word. In order to serve God, we must put him 1st in everything we do. Resist the pull of the world and start living by Godly standards today!
* Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers. Psalm 1:1
Rising Above Emotions
The following statement will truly make you ponder, “Allow wisdom to rise above emotion.” Wow, there is so much packed into that one simple statement. But when you read it and study it, how simple is it? We are human and we will have emotions, the question is how we deal with them. Reacting to your emotions does not bring about the righteous life that God desires. We may not be able to do anything about how we feel, but we can do a lot about how we act. In other words, we need to learn how to respond to life instead of reacting to it. So the next time you feel like your emotions are controlling you, ask God for help. When we can overcome our emotions, then and only then can we start living the righteous life that God desires.
* A fool gives full vent to his anger, but a wise man keeps himself under control. Proverbs 29:11.
Whether you are making a change personally, professionally, or spiritually you must be courageous. In order to make changes you have to take steps forward and most of the time they are in to unknown territory. As you begin the process, lean on God and don’t try to figure it all out. When we try to figure everything out, we are not really trusting God. Change requires strength, courage, and faith. As you walk in faith, know that as doors seem to close the one that will open is right around the corner. Don’t give up too quickly! Throughout this process of change, when you start to feel frustrated, odds are you are no longer leaning on God, instead trying to do it all on your own. Being courageous means you have to be secure in who God has called you to be. Enjoy the journey and always have the courage to change!
* Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5
